Parish Hall Rental
St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church is pleased to make our beautiful Parish Hall available for rent to groups outside of the parish. Our facilities offer a welcoming and spacious setting for a variety of events, from wedding receptions to business meetings and non-profit gatherings.
Use Policy and Guidelines
As a sacred religious space, the use of St. Thomas Aquinas facilities for non-parish events is subject to the policy set by the Diocese of Des Moines. Our primary commitment is to ensure that all activities held on the premises are consistent with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and do not contradict its doctrines.
The Pastor holds the final authority in determining the permitted use of our space. When considering rental requests, the Pastor will carefully review the nature of the event to ensure it aligns with the moral and doctrinal tenets of the Catholic Faith. We kindly ask that you take these considerations into account when submitting your rental inquiry.

Damage Deposits: The damage deposit is fully refundable, provided no damage occurs to the facilities during your rental period. Standard cleaning is included in the rental price. However, the cost of any necessary deep cleaning will be deducted from your damage deposit.
Hall Rental Amenities
Alcohol Policy
Outside alcohol is permitted but requires the presence of an off-duty police officer for an additional fee. Sales of alcohol require additional paperwork.
Access Hours
You have access to the building from 8:00 AM to Midnight on the day of your event. This time frame includes all setup, vendor drop-offs (DJ, caterer, etc.), and teardown.
Early Access
Access to the building on the evening before your event is granted on a per-case basis and must be arranged with the office prior to event.


Seating & Tables
The hall capacity is 490 people. We provide 50 round tables (60″) and chairs, included in the price. Round tables comfortably seat 7 people (8 maximum). 8-foot rectangular tables are also available for use as buffet, gift, or cake tables.
Linens & Decor
We offer black or white tablecloths and table skirts for rent. We can also order 90″ x 90″ linens for the round tables and 114″ x 52″ linens for the rectangular tables for an extra fee. You are welcome to decorate the Hall, but all decorations must be removed by the end of your rental period.
Stage & Backdrop
A stage and backdrop are available for your use. The stage is 8 feet by 24 feet and can accommodate a bridal party of up to 12.
Setup & Teardown
The hall is typically set up to accommodate 250 guests. You are responsible for setting up and taking down any furniture arrangements beyond the standard setup required for your event.
Vendors
You are welcome to use your own caterer, DJ, baker, and other vendors.
Kitchen Access
You will have access to the kitchen for setup and staging purposes only.
